pilgrims together
Pilgrims Together is an initiative which is being led by the Diocesan Missioner, Canon Val Hamer.
The idea is that Deaneries will devise their own programme of events and courses that
hopefully will appeal to a wide cross-section of people, both from within the Church and outside it.
An example of Bridgend Deanery's programme can be found here, while here is another programme, from the Deanery of Merthyr. You will see that the variety includes an academic examination of ‘The Historical Jesus’, an exploration of ‘Dreams: God’s forgotten language’, a walk around Merthyrmawr (and a lunch in the Watermill!), and a session on ‘Fasting and Feasting’ – with real food on which to feast!
The idea is that these events are not limited just to church people, but some in particular will have wider appeal. So why not invite some of your family and friends to join you? Check with your Incumbent to see if Pilgrims Together is running in your area.
