The Churches & Pastoral Committee (CPC) meets four times a year.

Its functions are:

To review the pastoral need for church buildings in the Diocese
To administer the scheme for quinquennial inspection of churches
To consider applications from parishes for grants for repair, renewal or maintenance of places of worship
To assist in the process of closure and redundancy of churches

Members of the committee include the three Archdeacons, the Chairman of the DAC, and six other members with an interest and/or qualification in architecture, planning and mission.
