Assistant Curate – Parish of Coity, Nolton and Brackla, Bridgend
A vacancy exists for an Assistant Curate to work within an established team of Rector, Assistant Curate, two Readers and a full time Youth Worker.
This large industrial and residential parish, on the edge of beautiful countryside and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, has three churches and provides extensive opportunities for the development of a full range of ministerial skills. A modern detached house is provided.
The appointee will share in the wider mission of the parish, but will have main pastoral and liturgical oversight for the congregation of the church at Brackla, a young and growing group which meets in the local church primary school. It is a congregation which rejoices in – and sometimes struggles with – the diversity in age and theology.
There are opportunities for extensive pastoral and teaching involvement in the Church Primary School, and also the wider parish’s ministry to children and young people. An Enhanced CRB Disclosure will be required.
